Partner with Us

InSituMetrix is advancing toward its first pilot deployments in 2026–2027. We are actively building a small number of strategic partnerships that allow us to demonstrate the technology in real conditions, validate it against operational needs, and accelerate adoption across the subsurface energy sector. We work on a reciprocal basis: every collaboration is built around a clear exchange of value. Below you'll find what that looks like depending on who you are.

Who we're looking for

Industry Operators

For industry operators Geothermal developers · CO₂ storage operators · Hydrogen storage projects · Oil & gas. You are developing or operating underground energy assets where stress uncertainty drives conservative design decisions, increases project risk, or delays regulatory approval.

What you get:

  • Direct, full-tensor stress measurements at depth, data you currently cannot obtain with hydraulic fracturing or wellbore methods alone

  • Early access to the technology ahead of commercial availability

  • Co-designed deployment protocols tailored to your site conditions

What we're looking for:

  • Access to a suitable borehole for pilot or operational deployment (2026–2027)

  • Domain expertise and geological context to help validate results

  • Willingness to co-publish or share anonymised data outputs

Research Partners

For research institutions & labsUniversities · National labs · Underground research facilities. You are working on subsurface geomechanics, geo-energy systems, or deep geological characterisation, and you need better stress data, or you want to be part of developing the next generation of measurement tools.

What you get:

  • Access to a novel in-situ stress measurement instrument at the frontier of the field

  • Opportunity to co-develop test protocols, data analysis methods, and validation frameworks

  • Authorship and recognition in joint publications

What we're looking for:

  • Access to underground research infrastructure (boreholes, tunnels, labs)

  • Scientific and methodological input on validation approaches

  • Collaborative funding applications (Horizon Europe, national programs, etc.

Funding & Innovation Programs

For funding bodies & innovation programs National innovation agencies · Deep-tech investors · Energy transition funds. You support early-stage deep-tech solving hard problems in the energy transition. InSituMetrix addresses a widely recognised data gap across five critical subsurface markets.

What you get:

  • A clear industrial roadmap with identified pilot partners and deployment milestones

  • A team with deep technical credibility, incubated at EPFL

  • Exposure to five high-value markets through a single core technology

What we're looking for:

  • Non-dilutive grant funding or innovation program support (Innosuisse, Horizon, cantonal programs)

  • Strategic introductions to industrial partners in target markets

  • Advisory relationships with sector expertise in deep-tech commercialisation
